Not really sure what goes here to be honest.

Hello fellow collectors,

Thank you for taking the time to read my first journal entry here. I joined this website several months ago after being out of the hobby for a little while. Since Thanksgiving of 2012, I have been back scouring ebay for the best buys, attending some local shows and reading and researching all things numismatic. I did have the chance to attend my first major coin show at the FUN event in Orlando last month. I had a great time and would really love to return next year. The number of dealers and tables were overwhelming and I feel like I only got to see a portion of what was available in my one day there.

I was extremely happy to purchase two mint state Franklin half dollars (a 1948D in MS64FBL and a 1951D in the same grade) to complete my 35 coin set graded by that other major 3rd party service. I was also able to buy one additional Franklin half dollar as an upgrade (a 1960P MS65). As of now, all of these coins grade at least MS64 except for one, with a bunch of MS64FBLs and a few MS65s thrown in. The highlight of this set so far is a 1962 MS64FBL. I am still looking for a 1960D MS64FBL to upgrade my MS63FBL.

At the moment I am attempting to focus on building a mint state Franklin half dollar set graded by NGC and also a NGC Jefferson war silver set with a minimum grade of MS66. A few nice star or proof-like Morgan dollars may help to temporarily throw me off track though.

Please feel free to message me or comment as I love to discuss coins with other members of the hobby! Thanks again!
