Strange coin dont know what it is.

Anyone know what this might be? I have a very strange coin in my collection. It's a 1957, and its legend says : confoederatio helvetica. The portrait is of Liberty (assumed) right-facing.Inscribed in her tiara is LIBERTAS On the reverse is a wreath of what appears to be grapes? (im not sure here) but the wreath is held together with a bow at the bottom, and the wreath completely surrounds the coins face value of 5. Can anyone tell me what this coin is, and which country of origin it be

strange coin.. thanks for answer

thank you guys for responding I would like to thank you guys for responding to my question. I received that coin in a penny wrapper looking for Lincoln wheat cents. I've had it for some time now not knowing what it was and thought i'd take a chance by posting the question on this forum. To see old comments for this Journal entry, click here. Eye spikes in 1878-p Vam 38 7/5

Eye spikes in eye I've just recently purchased an 1878-p Vam 38 7/5 strong, and my coin has 2 eye spikes at the top of the eye, just below the eye lid. I've never read of this being there before. Is anyone else aware of these spikes being present? To see old comments for this Journal entry, click here. New comments can be added below.

Eye spikes....Vam 38 response to answered question :)

response to answers... Thank you guys (Mark W, and cpm9ball) for responding to my question. And thanks for suggesting VamWorld as a site for me to view. I have done just that and found it very informative. Always a pleasure to hear from numismatists with more knowledge and experience than me. -Rhon To see old comments for this Journal entry, click here. New comments can be added below.

Rhonda Berenne ---> silver dollar collector...and more

Watch my collection as it grows... I began to become fascinated with coin collections early in life, possibly as early as 10 years old. My grandmother owned a small diner in NY, serving lunches and dinners for the men who worked for the American Can Company, as well as the men who worked for the Lehigh Valley RR, and the passengers who rode the trains. I can recall a spaghetti dinner costing 25 cents at that time.
