Numismatic Interest in pre-1870 Sydney (Australia) Sovereigns & Half Sovereigns
My current numismatic interest is in pre-1870 Sydney Sovereigns & Half Sovereigns, I have only a few of this unique and beautiful coins minted at the Sydney mint, before British Royal Crown established Sovereign standards.
Would like to know more about them, why they were minted in Sydney instead of Adelaide, or Melborne, who designed it, and who & where the die sets were made.
