Thanks NGC

Very quick turnaround I submitted a group of darkside material (6 pieces), British early 17th C-mid 19th C recently. These were sent under the standard world program. NGC received them on a Thursday, and mailed back graded the following Friday. 6 Days turnaround must be a new record for a standard submission.

Still no closer...

Well, maybe a little I had such high hopes, my submission showed up in Quality Control on Tuesday, several posts about how happy people were theirs were moving quickly through the system. Now it's Friday afternoon, with much anticipation I log on and get ready to view the grades. But alas, still in Quality Control. I guess they are doing a really good job.

Getting closer!

Heart rate is up. Well I just checked the grading status and it's moved to Quality Control. I can't believe how much I'm looking forward to getting this first batch of grades. My guesses are 65 and 63 on the two Morgans, VF30-VF40 on the two SLQ's, hoping for a 45-50 on the Barber dime if it doesn't go in a bag. This is like waiting to open the Christmas presents.

About the only things I have bought in the past ten years were pieces for my British set. With the kids out of college, and the wife and I haveing good jobs I found myself drifting back into coins over the past several months. I dug out the parts of my old collection I had from the pre-slabbing days and found a few Morgans, SLQ's and a Barber dime or
