Coins dealers are snobs

I loved the coin show but......... I went to the Central States Numismatic Society 69th coin show in Rosemont yesterday. I loved the coin show but....some dealers are such snobs. I think if didn't wear old clothes and shaved it would have been different. 2 of us walk up to a booth. I am dressed like a bum and the other guy has on a sports coat and pulling a little suitcase behind him. Guess who is asked what they can do for him. The well dressed man. Getting ready to go and drool

Hide my credit cards and checkbook I leaving in a few hours to take a 2 1/2 hour drive down to Chicago and go to the Central States Numismatic Society's 69th Anniversary Convention in Rosemont. I packed all my credit cards and checkbook (I think this is a mistake). I hope I don't over spend. I not going to buy anything special, but will look around. I also taking my 3 coin bald eagle set and 2 bald eagles dollars and see if NGC will take them from me with the certificate for being a membe

I got the "Skinny Chickens"

Do I or Do I not..... Do I or Do I not ....open the box. One box has the 3 coin Bald Egales set. Second box has a set and all the other coins that were issued (i got 5 of each). I want to look at them and show them off but I also want them graded. I know NGC said they were not going to give the coin set a special label, but, come on, 25,000 set deserves a special label. I keep hoping they will change there minds, but I know there not. I will just keep them sealed and wait a while l

10th Anniversary Good News!!!!

Platinum is now $2005.00 Mint put hold on sales I was at the mint site today, first time in a while and read this under the 10th anniversary platinum set: Due to the increasing market value of platinum, the American Eagle 10th Anniversary Platinum Coin Sets are temporarily unavailable while pricing for this option can be adjusted; therefore, no orders can be taken at this time.   What an increase since we bought them. Where do I find mintages

I Need help Where can I find out how many were actually sold from the US Mint on a coin? I do have the red book, but I am looking for something more up to date if possible. Thanks in advance Happy Collecting Bob

There here...they came...2007W $50 Platinum 10th Anniversary

Here is the back of both coins I need to get better with the camera. Next time I will opt out for NGC to photograph them. NGC was great with there shipping back to me and the handling of the box. I wish I could put them back into the wood box they came into. It is so great looking. I love the perfection of the box (and the coins) HAPPY COLLECTING!!!!!

10th Anniversary Platinum...and the grade is.......

I so happy I can just ......... The coins are done and being shipped back. I looked at my order status. I am so happy I can just.... in my pants. Can't wait to see them in person now. They graded out as follows: 2007W REVERSE PF EAGLE 10TH ANNIVERSARY P$50 PF70 2007W EAGLE 10TH ANNIVERSARY P$50 PF70 ULTRA CAMEO Now to show them around for a few days and get locked in the safe for the next 10 years or so. I hope to anyone else that sent them in they come up great like

10th Anniversary Platinum Set

They are so close to me now....... I just checked my status of my order. They are in Quality Control. Next step is Shipping. They are finally coming home soon. I am so anixious to see the grade. This kind of makes up for what the mint did today on the Bald Eagle Series. I still trying to get through. Good luck to anyone who is. I will let you know how they graded out.

I Got through to the mint for the 2008 Bald Eagles

Only 10 minutes for order 2008 Bald Eagles!!!! When i finally got through it took the clerk not even 10 minutes to take my order. I ordered everything on the list. I hope it all comes in now and I am looking forward to the 3 coin set. I hope it comes in a sepeate box and not mixed in with all the other. Good Luck to everyone who did not get through and also I hope everyone gets what they ordered.

10th Anniversary Platinum Set

Why did I do it? I was ready to leave on Christmas eve for 2 days of holidays with relatives (UGGGG). 30 minutes before leaving the door bell rang and it was the Fed Ex driver. He said Merry Christmas as I signed for the package. I looked at it was from The Fullfillment Center. I Yelled, they are 10 days early. I put them on the table and then left. I got back late Wednesday and looked at the box. I wanted to open it so bad. Thursday morning they were on the way to NGC. I looked at my
