THEY DIDN'T PUT ALL the coins into circulation
I just found out that in 2001 the coins (p) and (d) of the kennedy half dollar were only released in small quantities and in limited areas of the country, and they still have a large amount of the mintage coin in there vault as of this year (2007) the amonut minted for each coin, is for the (p) coin 22,600,000 minted and the (d) coins where minted at 19,466,000 and between the two of them less then 2/3 of the coins were put into circulation, but a
