The wait is over!!

Got to add a new monster Roosevelt to my collection!! I found a coin listed on Heritage and I knew that I had to have it. I asked a friend to view the coin to make sure it was everything I thought it was from the pictures. He confirmed what I had already thought. Heritage doesn't also have the best pictures so I always like to get a in-hand opinion when I am going to be bidding on any coin over $200. After I decided that I was going to bid on the coin, I went down to a local coin store where I

Time to start getting anxious again!!

Submission Time Again!! Well it has been over 9 months since I wrote in the journal. I left the journal at that time because of all of the personal attacks on other members at the time and people using the journal to try and sell coins. After reading the most recent journals, I realized that this is still happening. Yesterday NGC received my submissions. I sent in 3 submissions with a total of 52 coins. I get so anxious when I send coins to NGC. I will be clicking the order status at lea

What a Journal Entry should be?

Some of the members are missing the point of the journal. According to NGC is should be the following and note no where do is say personal attacks on other members. We have some simple guidelines for Journal entries. The Journal feature is designed to allow our members to share their collecting journey with other members. Registry Point and Ranking system

RE: Presidential Point System The Registry system will first rank by score and in the case of a tie the system will determine which set has the highest percentage of coin images. If the score and percentage of images is equal between two sets, then the percentage of coin descriptions will be considered. So to break it down, ranking is achieved by considering in this order: 1. Set score 2. Percentage of coins with images 3. Percentage of coins with descriptions   If all of the above

I don't know why it took so long to get the coin to the received status. I had to submission in one box. One of them was a world modern submission (5 coins) and the other was a modern submission (63 coins). Well it is know the 24th of April and my coins havent even made it out of "Received Status". NGC

Remember those who served!!

Veterans' Day (formerly Armistice Day) November 11, is the anniversary of the Armistice which was signed in the Forest of Compiegne by the Allies and the Germans in 1918, ending World War I, after four years of conflict. At 5 A.M. on Monday, November 11, 1918 the Germans signed the Armistice, an order was issued for all firing to cease; so the hostilities of the First World War ended. This day began with the laying down of arms, blowing of whistles, impromptu parades, closing of places

Royal Canadian Mint

~~TO BUY OR NOT TO BUY!!~~ The Royal Canadian Mint unveiled a welcome addition to any piggy bank on Thursday -- a monster gold coin with a face value of $1 million that it says is the world's biggest, purest and highest denomination coin. The coin weighs 220.5 pounds, WOOOOW!!! The coin is 21 inches in diameter. 220.5 pounds x 683.30 ounce = $2410682.40 just in gold!! I just thought I would share the photo with everyone.
