We will start the review and merge of split accounts this morning.

If you have split accounts and haven't requested an account merge yet, please do so on the account merge request board.

If for some reason you can't access your account, you can still login to the old boards and send Architecht a PM. I'll check over there periodically to see if anyone got stuck.

You can also call CCG customer service, and they will add your name to a queue for merging.

Here is a description of what happened in most of these split account situations:

Here is the situation with your accounts and the fix:

You had two accounts - one on CS and one on the boards with different emails. You did some things that have created duplicates.

If you are interested in the details, the way this happened is in the spoiler tags. You don't need to know them, really.

Spoiler

  1. You had an old Collectors Society account with email address A

  2. You had an old boards account with email address B

  3. You did not set those email addresses to be the same in both systems before the merge

  4. We renamed your old Collectors Society account to NAME1 because of the conflict with your boards account having the same name (but different email addresses)

  5. After the merge you logged into the Collectors Society using your old CS account

  6. You then visited the boards with your old CS account and created a new boards account SEPARATE from your old boards account

Now you have this:

NAME1: Old CS account (email A) ---> Newbie boards account 

NAME: New migration-created CS account (email B) --> Old boards account

Before we do anything:

  1. Please confirm that you want your old CS account and your old boards account linked. Some people are hesitant to associate their registry collections with their boards ID, so I want to make sure.

  2. Please confirm the email address you want in place on the new merged accounts, AND that you can access that email address.

  3. Please go to the old boards, login and find out what email address you had over there and reply with that email address here to verify your ownership of the account.
