Capped Bust Half - "Pieces of Ten" Variety Received Today

No mintmarks. 1828-1836 I believe to be the spread. You collect die varieties with these.

The CBHD series run from 1829 through and including 1837. Die marriage (and remarriage) is what makes the series so interesting. Different marriages of dies are assigned "LM" numbers from the great book by Logan and McCloskey on the subject titled Federal half Dimes.

Then the relative rarity for each die marriage has been assigned as well. Ratings from R1 through R6 w/ R6 being the rarest.

I'm just a novice at these but am enjoying the learning process.
