I swear that NGC Changes thier Policies Because of ME!

I had requested on my order that AFTER MY 139 coins were graded that only 69's and above be holdered in Multi Holders 68's and below in single holders.

NOW this appears ... New Policy Below

I think I feel slighted ... should I or am I being over sensitive

...

The fee for reholdering single coins already graded by NGC into Multi-Coin sets is still just $5 per coin. The fee for raw coins is based on our standard grading fees per coin. There is no additional charge for the Multi-Coin Holder if you are requesting that the coins are put into sets as you specify on your submission form regardless of grade. Starting April 1, 2007, an additional special handling fee of $5 per coin will be applied to submissions of coins for Multi-Coin Holder service where the submitter requests that Multi-Coin Holder sets are constructed based on the grading results of the coins.

Mike---- Most of us post our honest thoughts here on these NGC boards. But, I can tell you that Arch and others at NGC do read these chat boards. Let us never forget that some of us do give them ideas toooooooo. Bob [supertooth]

In that case, can someone please grade my 5 collectors-society early bird submissions before June???

Mike, I think you are overworking the staff at NGC. They are having a hard time keeping up with you, so you have to give them some time off.

Seriously, it appears that your "special requests" are causing NGC to alter their normal procedures. When something like this occurs, it can extend their estimated turnaround times and create additional backlogs. This not only affects your submissions, but the submissions of others as well. If it takes more man-hours to produce the same product, the only recourse is to raise the price or they would begin to lose money.

Personally, if I wanted specific coins in multi-holders, I would rather match them, myself, to try to pair up the specimens that are most similar to one another. Then, I would resubmit them for the multi-holder. After all, you're not buying the plastic, you're buying the coin. Right?

You do realize that if these get lost by the Post Office, you're going to receive the declared value which is less than the grading costs. smile.gif
