Here is a toner that is not seen all the time...

OK sure we see toners all the time, but when was the last time you saw a really pretty worn out buffalo nickel? Here is one that is F-12 and a nice toner. Enjoy this 100% NT coin.

Hey Bruceswar.

Like I opined elsewhere, I do not think a coin this worn would tone in such nice concentric bands,. I think that the wear on the metal would cause a different toning pattern---similar, but not quit this even. The way the color changes so evenly and abruptly over the lettering is not a good sign to my eyes on a circulated piece--especially one as circulated as this.

I may be off base on this, but this is my opinion.

edited to add---I think this one got a little help---not saying by you in ANY WAY Bruceswar.

interesting coin

Mike I agree with you on that. It is interesting how the toning formed so nicely over the years. I like this coin alot for what it is. This is one coin where you can throw bid out the window. Ask is say $.90 cents, well I am fairly sure I could start this coin at $9.99 and get bids on it.
