First Ladies vs. Modern Commemorative Gold...

3 posts in this topic

Will the First Ladies Gold Coins have their own Registry set or will they be grouped with Modern Commemorative Gold?

.... I vote for their own set as they are a series unto themselves and are being minted in addition to the 'regular' commemorative like the Jamestown 400th.

Do the 1996 Atlanta Olympic commems have their own set or are they included with the Modern Commemorative sets? It might make some sense to treat these the same way that set is treated.

I disagree.

The First Ladies are a series that will span 10+ years.

The 96 Atlanta coins were a little... out of control if you ask me. Haven't they (Congress) since changed the law limiting the number of commemoratives per year?
