1881 is a proof only year for the trades

and usually/most of the time they are weakly struck in the headress and stars

it is really REALLY uncommon to see an 1881 trade like this that is totally 100% fully struck

I think pre 1915 proof cameo or ultra cameo is exceptional coinage and highly under-rated. I'll buy into that because it's just spectacular. I think, anyways...

It is fantastic stuff to look at, gets the numismatic juices flowing for sure!!!!

Now, you want to talk about underrated? Proof Barber material is very cheap right now, and is a great value in the market right now at current levels.
