brg5658
Those are beautiful pieces Brandon. Are they silver? Yep Bob, they are 83.49% silver (I have no idea why the strange % fineness).
L1ncolnF4n
I think I was swindled. Is this the case clearly of that? Bought a 1969 S Penny from ebay that said "print is doubled". I knew it was probably too good to be true, but at auction end and $40 later, I was owner. I got it today and it is NOT DOUBLED AT ALL. I hate to return things but I think I got the end of this deal to the tune of $39.99 so return it, why should you get the short end of anything? Paying less than five figures for a genuine 69-S DDO is not feasible... Additionally, I would suggest never buying anything with photos that bad. Return it and learn your lesson on the postage costs, it's an inexpensive lesson to be learned this time.
brg5658
Paying less than five figures for a genuine 69-S DDO is not feasible... Sure it is, if you find it in a roll. Not very probable though...
Elbesaar
Stopped by Rich Uhrich's table at the ANA and I asked to see any Seated Halves that I might like - he showed me a few I would have loved to buy - but the budget just wouldn't allow an 1870-CC in PCGS 55 - or an 1873 N/A Open Three Half in PCGS 58 - OMG !! But here is a great looking type coin - and its always a pleasure seeing Rich !!

The only lesson to learn is don't buy with crappy photos, make the seller pay return postage, the coin was misrepresented. If you have to, open a case. You should be protected. Tell the seller you should not have to pay postage for what he misrepresented. If you have to, give a 1 in feedback for item description, but discuss it with the seller first. Elbesaar
Sweet Seated Mike!!! It's not really Mike. It's FAKE Mike. Real Mike wouldn't buy anything other than a Barber. jom PS: Nice one Mike! Be careful on eBay these days, as there really is a fake Mike. There is a scam artist under the name HAYES777 Two friends have already fallen prey to him. My eBay name is the same as here, ELBESAAR . Oh, and JOM, I actually collect a lot more than Barbers. (thumbs u EDIT: Here is a new image of a Dime I picked up a few months ago... I had picked up another of the same date by accident [ bad memory ] and this coin was far superior - even though the other was of a higher grade. Coindude
Not really newps, but recent recoveries! I was going through a big box of stuff I put away years ago and came across a couple of interesting toners and a nice cameo half dollar. The nickel has a curious strike through behind the bust as you can see more clearly in the isolation picture. The Half and nickle were liberated from their original mint cello just today. All of these coins are proof.
JAS0N-migration
i noticed that 1960, 61 jefferson proofs tend to tone easily and in very vivid colors, any guesses why?
Coindude
Composition of the nickel, the way they were stored, and maybe a different makeup of the mylar for those years? Not sure tbh but I have noticed the same.

brg5658
I picked up these two "sister coins" in the past 10 days or so. Different sellers, but both appeared on eBay about the same time. Neither makes the "Full Steps" cut, but they are both quite attractive war-era nickels.
