SkyMan
Rev, nice looking Indian! (thumbs u Congrats on the Prez's. Bruce, I've heard of focusing down before, but Wow! Mike, good looking Barbers. (thumbs u Rey, attractive Lexington you got there. (thumbs u Unfortunately I decided to not bid at FUN as the same grade/date/mm coin I was most interested in, a PCGS MS66FBL 1951-S Franklin, was on eBay 2 days later, and there was also a 1951 PCGS MS66FBL for sale on eBay at the same time. Both the eBay coins had quite nice toning for the date/mm (and were probably out of the same Mint Set) so I decided to hold off on the FUN sale and bid on eBay as I thought I could get the '51-S for less. The 1951-S at FUN went for $805 (juice included), and low and behold I got sniped on both the eBay P and S Frankies, with them going for $817 and $937 respectively. C'est la vie. It's rather amusing because I spent several years looking for a decent '51-S and finally pulled the trigger on a PCGS MS66 one in November 2007 as a not too shabby placeholder. So, here come 2 nice ones in less than one week, and I'm SOL. The coin gods are funny though, and yesterday when I was browsing through a large box of raw Frankies I found a nearly fully white, raw '51-S in ~64 with, IMO, FBL. It certainly should FBL at PCGS and has a serious shot at doing so at NGC. FBL is quite tough for the date, so I was VERY happy to run across it. It's odd how you can not find a date/mm for the longest time and then it seems to rain them.
prudden
Just got this one tonight 05/29. Anyone think the small album friction will take away from any grade?I think this could make NGC 63 or 64"STAR". Thanks for looking. cpm9ball
Unless I'm missing something under the toning, it's at least a 64. I submitted 3 or 4 similarly toned for grading. None of them got a star, and one came back in a BB for AT. The BB reverse looked much like yours. Nice Morgan! Chris

Almost as bad as the "artificial color" I got on my Indian cent. I still can't understand how it was done.
hoard
Nice coins everyone. Here are some crack outs that arrived over the last few days. All now live in albums. Obverse die crack is fairly cool with very light die clashing on both sides. These little coins are tough to image. Bought raw. The light scratches on the obverse are not visible to the naked eye. Liked it and it fits with the balance of the set.

Elbesaar
I'm really liking that 1865 3CN in AU 58. How difficult are these to find in AU 58 ? Aside from the early to mid 1880's are they readily available - or impossible to find ? Edited July 1, 2008 by Elbesaar
