Coin Pictures

OK, I am on a roll here. I have read and understand many people use a scanner to get images of their coins. I really don't want to have to dig out my old HP SCSI scanner and try to make it work. I do, however, have a really nice digital SLR. Anyone have any advise on the best way to photograph coins? Lens?? Lighting?? etc...

I'm pretty sure that if you just search the forums you will find SOMETHING on how to photograph coins. The topic has come up so much that there's bound to be something for you to read.

There have been lots of threads about photography lately. Do a seach with the key word/words typed in by clicking on the Search link above. Go back for about a year.
