Would 3 MS63 NGC be worth 1 NGC MS65???

Thought about trying to do some trading and was wondering if you guys thought this would be a fair trade, saying all these are white no tone? Do you think anyone would go for it? No rare dates just common morgans!!

I would think that it might be worth a little less than an MS65 but...you might get someone willing. I am figuring on say $35 bucks a coin for the MS63s and the MS65 usually sell for around $125 but this is an average and I know that it is conceivable to pick up plenty of MS65 at the $100 dollar level depending on the date so........it could be a wash, but I would't make the trade thumbsup2.gif

No, I do not think that's a good deal for the person with the MS-65. I would want at minimum two MS-63s and an MS-64 at least, and that would still be a little short. Two MS-64s and one MS-63 would be equitable.

Bear in mind that the MS-65 is not only worth more in dollars, it's also worth more in time. It takes 3 times as much time and effort to sell 3 coins as it does the one.

if the 3 ms63 coins are really choice+++ unc. coins with some nice original toning and above average eye appeal for the grade

and ms65 that is just white and ho hum or even nice for an ms 65 then i would NOT do the trade

Well was gonna keep them anyway just was making a dummy post to get you guys something to read, Wow I think the world is running out of morgans anyway have you noticed it also, Ebay is full of AU coins graded higher and the ones that look right for the grade are going crazy, if the picture grades high, the bid goes way up, and when you get it in the mail its a MS61 or 62 and I really love the low end slabs man they have no respect for the Shelton scale.
