This morning it's $578.60 and silver is $1.38! Most of the common date Saints in my collection were purchased for less than current melt (oh for the days of MS-63 15-S's for $400!), needless to say I go for the pre-1933 gold. I only need 2 more common dates for my Saint set, after that they get expensive fast, so I am thinking about working on a set of Type 2 libs as they are so often ignored and quite undervalued in my opinion.

I would advise you first to read my "what you need to know" post on Saints, and as a first coin, I would go for a nice 15-S in MS-63.

Park Ave. has one on their site for $790 in MS-63, $730 in MS-62, and even the lowest grade will probably not be found below $600 with gold at $586.40.
