My latest Key date "stopper"......

if you'd like to, guess the grade.

I don't have it in hand yet but it is enroute. I didn't realize just HOW difficult this coin is to find in literally any condition until I began looking at the FUN and Baltimore show for one.

I believe Osburn has an AG3 for 650.00. I would have liked a bit higher graded one but this one looks pretty nice for the assigned grade.

Nice work, goose, and I bet it is the most undervalued key date that you own! thumbsup2.gif

I think you might be right Tom. I heard about this coin on the bust forum a while back and had looked for one ever since.....having missed out on a 7,000.00 EF40 one and not wanting an AG, I figured I had better snag this one.......you just do not see these like you do the 56 flyers, 96 quarters, etc....

Great coin, Goose! As I've mentioned before, you have had a big influence on my tastes! And that's a good thing.

I actually have an Fair-AG 1806 Bust Quarter that I think has loads of eye-appeal since it is original. Sure, the design wears well but your prior posts has help me appreciate it all the more.

Goose, you inspired this post

History Lesson:

It is well known that Ben Franklin advocated the turkey vs eagle on the Great Seal of the United States but it is not as well known that Goose's ancestors advocated the goose. Hence, his alias and love for early American coinage.

That's all.
