A little bit too dark for me but I would not be the one buying it.

 

You will recognize the "right" coin when you see it. It will jump out at you. If you have to ask for an opinion then the coin is probably not right for you.

Yeah, but I'm waiting for it to jump out at me for less than $500.

Too many hits on that coin. The color doesn't bother me that much. I would look for a nice 55 or 58 coin that has nice luster and strike. You can get a good majority of the eye appeal of a 64 without paying that 64 money for it. What did NGC grade that at? I'm guessing 61.

Personally, I think it's an awesome coin, and I don't even know (or care) what the grade is. It is not "very weakly struck" at all! I'd say pretty much average to slightly better than average, and I love the color, absolutely love it. It is difficult to find FEs like this for an album collection whose color would match that of the surrounding Indian Head cents in like grade. If the price is right, I wouldn't hesitate.
