Can anyone offer insight into the club as it stands today ? I joined when it first started and went to the first meeting (I think it was Pitt ANA). I was a little turned off - I thought the forum would be more educational, but turned into more of a show and tell. Don't get me wrong, it was nice to see some great coins, but it was not what I was expecting to get out of the club. Just wondering if it is still the same deal today or something that I should reconsider.

We still do a lot of show and tell but we are currently working on the education piece in the form of AT/NT Seminars at some of the major shows like FUN and Longbeach etc.

We are also looking at adding an AT gallery to the online site as an additional piece of education.

No, not the "coinheads", Tubby! I mean his "AT" shirt.

Chris

I thought that was it? confused-smiley-013.gif

Or do you mean that shirt you got him? I didn't get to see that...

He said he was going to post some pictures of it after FUN. I just assumed that he did and I didn't see it. I guess he hasn't done his laundry, yet.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Shane hasn't tried to tie-dye the sucker. You know.......give it an "original skin".

You might be a coin collector if you laugh so hard at that shirt you start crying.

You'd have to know the story behind it... poke2.gif

TCCS is alive and well - you can see for yourself -

TCCS forums

I actually agree that there is perhaps a bit too much "show and tell", but our members are quite enthusiastic about their toned coins and it's actually one of the few places that you can show off your toned coins without the inevitable carping that so often goes on across the street.

As a means of helping promote the eucational aspects of collecting toned coins, we've added an educational forum and posts and articles that are educational in nature are always welcome.

Come on by, say hello, tell us what you think, and if you have some toners you want to show off, well, we encourage that - Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but you've got to post 'em if you want others to enjoy what you've got. cool.gif
