Coin Help

6 posts in this topic

Well today I recieved change from a fast food place and I recieved a coin one side is a tail side of a dime the other is the tail side of a penny.

Now is this a mistake that the mint might have done or what how do I find info about something like this. Any help would be great.

You have a variation of a "Magician's Coin". Some of them are two-headed quarters, for example.

These are manufactured outside the Mint by novelty companies for use in Magician's acts.

Hmmmm...can you post pics of the coin? I think we would all be interested in seeing this. I personally havent heard of such a mint error. I cant think of a way that a cent and dime planchet could be fused. Sounds more like a novelty that got into circulation.
