Not surprised at all. I believe if the Mint (to include all the branch mints) were to stop producing any kind of coins today -- there still would be a lot of discoveries to be made for many years to come.

 

That's a nice DDO on that one.

I also find it amazing that if took long for this error to be discovered. First off, the doubling is amazing and very obvious. In addition, I personally believe that collectors are examining their coins more thoroughly due to all the different varieties and errors being found in recent years .

Yep -- it is amazing it took so long, but -- it doesn't surprise me.

 

Wait till you see what's in my upcoming DVN -- even more variety eye-poppers that will again make you think why they were only recently reported.
