New Web Site and Contact Information

7 posts in this topic

I just wanted to let everyone know that my web site has been moved and my email changed. I did this because I had been using a free site provided by Netscape, however, there were technical problems on Netscape's end and the site is now inaccessible. The email is also dead. Therefore, I registered a domain name and built a site last week. The new site and associated email address are available by clicking the link in my signature line. Please note that I do offer coins for sale, on occassion, from my site. Therefore, if you do not want to see the site, please do not click the link! I add this note so that others will realize I am not trying to spam the boards with sale announcements. Thank you.

Nice site.

People should check out the 1891 Indian cent in the Gallery. Stunning looking coin!! Looks like a blue cameo coin.

One suggestion is to make the text titles of the essay articles links a little bigger. I nearly missed them when the pictures of the coins popped up and my eyes gravitated toward them.

Tom, I liked your old site but agree this one is better. I'm still amazed at that colorfully toned (1934?) Mercury you have featured on the home page.

There's an interesting "eBay" story behind that one I would hope you would take the time to share, here, when you have a free moment.

Wow, love your new site! Beautiful header and nice, simple layout.

I bought the blue 1891 proof Indian cent a year ago from Tom. It's tough to find these toned one solid color the way that one is, beautiful coin.

Thanks for the suggestion, Greg. I'm not much on knowing what is going on in computers, but, this was pretty easy to build. I'll go back tonight or tomorrow and see what I can do.

The coin that braddick is writing about was on ebay, raw, and was described as "MS63FB TONED". That was the entire description of the coin, all in upper case, and the image was smaller than a three-cent silver. The coin just looked like a drop of blood. I thought I would put a low bid on the coin and would see what happened. I got the coin for $24 and it is now in a PCGS MS68FB holder. The coin was bought from a full-time coin shop that was selling on ebay at the time.

Paul, if you ever want to sell that 1891 IHC I would be happy to buy it back from you. Those are the kind of coins that scream to be bought.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone!

I like this site much better also!

I frequently checked your netscape one.

You might put a small notation by the pics that you can click to enlarge. (I am assuming that I didn't see that on there and also that you can indeed click to enlarge)

I love the site Tom, keep up the great work. Sorry to hear the Netscape site crashed and everything was lost. I like the ease of use and background colors of the site very much. But you are not allowed to offer any of those coins for sale, they must all go through my approval first. grin.gif
