Sorry, Mr. Tubbs, not parsing you. Did I do something wrong? The reverse was appearing in my first post. (I don't have this posting thing down yet.)

Hi there, when I first looked at your post the reverse was not showing up so I posted it on my thread.I see now that either you fixed it or my computer was misbehaving. tongue.gif

The pic host goes weird on me sometimes for no explicable reason.

But thank you kindly for your helping a newbie.

I know how it feels,it's irritating when you wonder why a picture isn't showing and then realize it's only because you typed JPG instead of jpg! Christo_pull_hair.gif

No problem, BTW. cool.gif

From the single set of images it looks too nice to be an MS60, why was it graded so low? Are there significant hairlines or slidemarks?

Hi TomB. Yes, I agree that it was rather conservative grading. I give it a 63, for what my opinion's worth. Perhaps it's a candidate for resubmission.

At any rate it replaces another piece in my collection graded by NGC at MS 60, which seems a bit too high for this one - or is it just a weak strike???

I like both coins, however, and I'm going to keep them. The 1866 is more of a key date, with only 3 mil minted.
