1882 Morgan Dollar

I need some help figuring out if this coin is worth anything. I can't take a picture, but based on the information I provide I'd like to know if its worth getting it appraised and if there is a possibility of it having value. Its an 1882 Morgan Dollar and there is no mint designation on the back. I don't know what it is made of, but its almost like a dull silver yet still shiny. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

It seems like it might be an AU coin, worth about $15 and definitely not a candidate for certification. It would have to grade fairly high to make it worth the cost of slabbing.

I was thinking that the way he described the coin .. it sounded cleaned to me... but without pictures can't tell

Typically, a coin like this would retail for about $15. Wholesale value - what a dealer might offer you - is about $8.
