Coin preservation, is this method safe?

9 posts in this topic

I am new to this board and to coin collecting. I have some older silver dollars, Morgans and Peace, and want to know if the following is a safe method for removing some ugly black spots.

It sounds relatively harmless, is there anyone here knowledgeable enough to assure me this is ok?

THanks

Put the flammenwerfer back in the box. Safe the trigger, depressurize the power source, disconnect the fuel supply.

Eat blood pressure medication. Pour a long, stiff drink. Down the hatch. Consider pouring a few more.

Where on God's green earth did anyone find this ad copy? And what kind of sick little monkey would post it here?

Whatever you do... do not clean your coins in any form or fashion.... any value they have will be lost..... That machine right there would kill your coins...
