Where is the best place to dispose of / sell Israeli coins?

8 posts in this topic

As part of a collection, I acquired a fairly large collection of Israeli coins, primarly piefort proof and mint sets, but also some miscellaneous put-together sets and medals. Any ideas who would be a strong buyer for this type of material? THANKS in advance!!!!!

Only a few more bags of that [embarrassing lack of self control] to unload. cloud9.gif

Believe it or not, the deal was profitable! cloud9.gif893whatthe.gifcloud9.gif

From what I understand, many of these coins are used as ballast on ships, since it's cheaper than rocks.

I heard the same thing. You can take them to a metal recycler, high quality aluminum is at about $1.70 a pound these days.

If you have any of these, I may be interested. Especially the 1970 since I still need it for my type set.
