I have an 1884-S PCGS VF30 that I would let go for cheap...I know it's lower than the grade you are looking for but it is certified and maybe it could act as a filler until you get the coin you want?

I also have a raw 1890-CC Tailbar in F-12 if you are interested?

Change the term PCGS to NICE and you'll be better off. Buy a nice coin, not a PCGS or XYZ grading company coin.

I'll tell You once more, that I became a LIFE member of the ANA in 1975 and I need PCGS

graded coins to add to My PCGS coin registry. When I need/want advice I'll kindly ask for it.

As far as for You butting into My messages at will and interfering with their purpose and

in general making a jerk of Yourself,Please do that in the comfort of Your bathroom.

Why don't you take your ANA Life Membership, go into your bathroom and stick it up your butt and then get the HELL out of here!!!!!

Geeze, what a bitter and stupid old man you are. Your Alzheimer's must be flaring up as you're telling us this for the first time.

Oh, you NEED PCGS coins for your PCGS Registry Set. I'm sorry, I didn't realize that you are a moronic plastic collector who has no ability to buy coins, only plastic. I'm sure your set is full of dogs and overgraded junk as you're the type of buyer the dealers dump their garbage on because they can't grade, they can only look at the plastic.

May I suggest trying the PCGS forums for PCGS-only plastic. Or if you wish to use these forums, at least rub together the two misfiring brain cells you still have and use the proper forum: The Money Marketplace. This forum is for the discussion of coins. That forum is for buying and selling.

Perhaps you can get a refund on your LIFE membership to the ANA and instead use that money to buy something of use to you. Clearly that won't be a grading guide. Maybe something to shine up all your plastic you collect.

BTW, considering the grades of the coins you're asking for, clearly your set can't be ranked very high. How does it feel to be such a failure at the Registry? Maybe failure isn't the correct term, is nobody more appropriate? Must suck not to get a real ego boost when you know no one bothers to look at your pathetic low ranked set and there are so many better sets listed higher than yours. That's OK, I'm sure your pet rock thinks you're the best. thumbsup2.gif

MA COINS: This site is normally a little calmer than the other side. Most of us here don't even really care what brand slab coins are in (it's the coin that is important, remember?). People even show off ICG, raw and other slabbed coins here, if they are nice pieces. Many of us here don't even put Registry sets up across the street because of the PCGS only restriction (I don't). This place is not even very monetary status concious, which I frankly appreciate.

KUMAJIM: Someone who starts out on this board looking for conflict will probably get it, from several members. We really like the low key, bucolic and friendly pace here. If you are here to be abrasive, you won't get a very good reception. We are not clods. Many here are very advanced collectors with a great deal of personal knowledge about their specific areas of coin collecting expertise.

Greg's message was responsive to your initial post and, as far as I can tell, well intended. I don't understand why it provoked a hostile -- and immature -- rebuke.

Edited to add: Amen, OT3.

Wow this thread went down hill quick....Greg is a good guy and and I think you read way to much into his reply...nice coins can be graded by PCGS and added to your registry set a lot cheaper then already graded coins in most cases......so his advice to buy nice coins is good advice. I will assume since you have been an ANA member since 1975 that you know how to grade and choose nice coins so good luck with your hunt thumbsup2.gif

"Once more"

Funny,I can't seem to find this in your original post 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

At least the part about the PCGS registry.

And unless I'm mistaken, you asked for help?

Greg's reply to your bashing wasn't all too civil, but you certainly asked for it. I think you owe Greg and the other members of this fine message board an apology...

which is okie i respect that

just respect us here and make an apology to greg

if you want to buy sell or trade something you need to take it to the marketplace boards

also post this on the pcgs boards you might have better luck going into a ford dealer when looking for a ford

I have an 1884-S in NGC AU-55, and it is a TRUE AU-55, a near-slider. However, it was expensive. $450 delivered, if you're interested. It would cross to ANY holder ANY time.

By the way, this thread should probably be in the B S T forum.

But you realize you're being a bonehead if you said that you can be such a bonehead that you don't even realize that you're being one! poke2.gif
