When did NGC begin designating FBL on Franklin halves?

Have they done so from the get-go? I have a couple that were slabbed before 1992 that appear to me to have FBL potential.

Thanks in advance.

I don't know that answer but since this thread is on Frankies I'm curious to know when NGC started designating Cameos....

I'm not sure exactly when but I'm fairly certain it was AFTER 1992 so there isn't any need to think that the designation was being used when your coin was slabbed. The most probable date is roughly 1996 or 97....

Jom, thanks! That's what I was hoping. As many of you know, I fell into a small hoard of early slabs, purchased mostly before 1992, and I am thinking that many of these coins might be worth resubmitting to get proper designations put on them. For example, there are the FBL Franklins I mentioned that are not so deisignated. Also, the hoard has about a dozen proof Washington quarters from the 1950s that are obviously at least CAM, if not DCAM, and are not so designated.

If anyone has more input, I'd appreciate it.
