50 State Quarters First Day Covers

3 posts in this topic

What is the "shrink" material used on state quarters first day covers that mounts the quarters to the card stock inside the envelope. Concern is that it is PVC or some other material which will damage the coins and/or the envelope after long term storage. Have been unable to get an answer from US Mint.

It US Mint is very much in tune with collector needs so I very seriously doubt that they use PVC. I think that I've read something along this vein at one time or the other, too.
