As of this AM "product not available. So any predictions on what happens on Ebay witht hese during the next few weeks? I wonder what the final mintage of the two roll Sets were.

According to Numismatic News, 11/01/05:

500-coin bag: P - 15,443; D - 14,687; Total - 30,130

1,000-coin bag: P - 11,111; D - 10,914; Total - 22,025

2-Roll Set: 750,862

 

These figures were also reported (total production):

2004 Peace Medal: P - 361,440,000; D - 372,000,000

2004 Keelboat: P - 366,720,000; D - 344,880,000

2005 Bison: P - 448,320,000; D - 487,680,000

 

It's anybody's guess what will happen after the Westward Journey program ends. Do you think anyone will try to promote sets of 2003 (last "old" Jefferson), 2004, 2005 & 2006 ("new" Jefferson)? After 65 years without any radical desogn changes, we have five new designs in two years.

The mintage is so high, I doubt that there will be any serious upswing in the prices. There prices may double for a roll, however. I'm still surprised that the Marine Corp Commem dollar is relatively cheap.

That was for the Peace medal design, right? I don't think that as many people saved those but the Bison design was extremely popular. I hope that they do appreciate alot since I bought the $50 bags from each mint.
