Bahama coin

5 posts in this topic

Good Day,

I am in possesion of a gold coin from the Bahamas. It is a coin that is on a gold bracelet containing several different coins from different countries. The coin is as follows. Obverse: Queen Elizabeth, under bust "Elizabeth D" text: "Commonwealth of the Bahamas Independance" Date: 1973

Obverse: Seal of Bahamas, text: "Two Hundred Dollars", to the right of the seal is "1976"

I have only been able to find 50 and 100 dollar coins on the internet.

Can anyone tell me anything about this coin?

We purchased a bracelet with several gold coins in the Bahamas at a jewelry shop.

any info would be appreciated,

thanks, Dave

yes! thank you, that is the coin. helpful information. The bracelet was purchased around 1992 I think. Double gold chain, and the following charms/coins in gold bezels The bermuda one as stated. 1/10 10pound british, 1987, (2), Chinese panda 1/10 , 10 Yuan coins, Canadian 1/10 5 dollar coin, (2) Krgnd 1982, 1/10 coins, 1945 2 1/2 peso 1/10th, 1/10 liberty gold (US). The actual bracelet was purchased and my sig other picked out coins she liked and had them put in bezels to hang as charms. The Bermuda and the Liberty are not attached, as they are a little large compared to the rest, and would be more suited as pendants. I could take a pic and upload it if there is interest. thank you again Becky, you have been very helpful. Dave
