Nixon Penny and Wayte Raymond albums

6 posts in this topic

"Getting SMALLER SMALLER smaller". Made in Hong Kong. Round holder, "coin" is about 5/16 inch diameter with Nixon's bust on one side and 1 cent on the other and made of plastic(?).

Looking through 4 old Wayte Raymond Popular albums for Buffalo nickels, Walking Liberty halves, Morgan dollars and Lincoln cents. Lots of holes and really worn coins. There's a 1916 Mercury dime that "might" be a D. It's really worn and it's hard to tell for sure. And a 1943 Lincoln cent that is absolutely stunning. None of this is mine, just on loan from the grandfather of one of my daughter's classmates. He wants to know if he has anything of value.

We'll never know. The coin is so badly worn that any sign of a mintmark is gone. Even a grade of AG3 is too big a strech frown.gif

could it possibly be identified by the die that was used to strike it 893scratchchin-thumb.gif
