1880-S Morgan PROOF LIKE ?

yes this is a Proof like Morgan.... which I would grade MS 63

It looks PL but you really can't tell in a photo if a coin is PL or not!!!

I couldn't argue either way based on the photo. However, it looks like it could be PL.

rephoto the coin and prop it up a little so it shows the mirrors if any at all

 

but from a guesstimate it coujld be pl

 

but i would need toi see the coin in hand sight seen to tell you for sure or at least the coin photoed at an angle to give a possibly yes or no

The method that dealers used years ago (before TPG's) to test for PL was to hold a dollar bill (using good lighting) about 4 inches away from the coin and see if you can read the bill serial number on the coin.

The method used these days is to hold it up to your finger for the reflection. Although when you've seen a bunch of them you can usually tell without extra stuff.
