I don't recall seeing such a dramatic rotation. Looks to be about 160 degrees. Somebody had a screw loose.

Mozin, I agree. Certain half-cents, two-cents and three-cent silvers show 180 degree die rotation frequently, but I don't recall seeing a 180 turn on a bust half!

It appears that there was no added premium for the rotation. I was expecting to see the reserve not met, somewhere around $2000. The reeded edge years simply do not have the strong collector base lettered edge enjoys.
