Help needed on this coin from Japan ?

Hello,

I need some informations on this Japanese coin I have since the 60's, If it's From Japan !

I'm into Spanish 8 escudos from the 18 century, so my documentation can't help me at all. The only thing I can said is that it's not from Spain or Spanish colonial empire

It's a 100 mon tsuuhoh (coin) from the Tempoh Period (1835 to 1870).

They can be purchased in the US for under $10. Other cool pre-modern Japanese coins are the ichibu-gin and isshu-gin. They are small rectangular silver coins, and both can be purchased for under $40 each.
