Coin album HELP, does it exist?

8 posts in this topic

For reasons beyond my control (in other words, because of my inability to resist nice coins), my Washington quarter collection will end up being a complete set of business strikes, 1932 - 1996, and all proofs from 1936 - 1996. So here's the question:

What album holds all these?

My Dansco has room only for the business strikes, though I've filled out the last page with proofs. Does the expanded album have room for ALL the proofs? Or just the later years?

Your help is appreciated.

I have searched for the kind of album you are looking for, and nobody makes them. The best that can be done is to buy a couple of Dansco Washington quarters albums and buy blank quarter pages to fill the albums. Then you can arrange the dates and types however you want.

I have a dansco for Roosies that has all the types, but even though it has spaces for the clad and silver modern proofs, there are no spots for the early philly proofs pre-1965. I think what you desire does not exist.

Please note that it does not have to be a Dansco album. Whitman would be fine too, or even some other brand, if it exists. For example, I know Littleton now puts out albums, but I've never actually seen one, and don't know what kinds are available.

I do in fact currently have an extra blank page that I added to the back of my normal album, but I would like to arrange all the coins chronologically, with the proofs next to their business strike counterparts.

If there is no pre-fabricated solution, I may just have to go the route of lettering my own pages for a custom album. But I would prefer something standardized.

Note: I've looked at IS, Dansco, Whitman, Littleton, and a variety of older manufactured albums and none have what you are seeking.

James, this is just a thought, but why don't you buy some blank Dansco pages and take them to a local printing company. You can have them emboss the chronological information that you want for business strikes as well as proofs. As a matter of fact, buy extra sets of pages and sell them on eBay to recover your added costs and even make a profit on them. I'm sure there are many other Washington collectors who would like to have them.
