American Heritage Coin Collecton

Hello Everyone--

I have an American Heritage coin collection that I inherited from my Grandfather. I want to sell this collection but I can't find any information about it online and I have no idea how much such a collection would be worth. Has anyone heard of this collection and if so do they have any idea how much I should make sure I get or where I should even go to sell it? I would appreciate any info on this.

Hi Nate and welcome to the board! Is this collection housed in a frame? I recall selling a collection for a friend of mine on eBay, and it had a number of US Coins housed in a wonderful frame. I believe it was produced by the Franklin mint in the 1970s, but unfortunately the way it was housed ruined the coins for numismatic purposes. Still it was a very nice decorative item, and I think I sold it for my friend on eBay for $50 or $75, but that was a few years ago. Can you post a picture of it?

Its auctually called the Heritage of America collection and its housed in more of a cabinet then a frame. Each coin is placed into the cabinet sperately and each coin is in its own seperate case. It has some silver shards as well as a silver certificate. Some old presidental inagural coins, some older Silver Dollars, war time release nickels, and other various coins. I'm not sure when it was made or by whom. Anyone else heard of this? Thanks for your help.

Nate, that is the exact one I sold for my friend. It has the silver pellets that were used to redeem the last of the silver certs in the 60s. It was in a large wood frame with each coin mounted in a space and the silver cert mounted under the glass. Again, I think we are talking about the same thing, and my impression of it was that it was more a decorative item.
