Solid AU but I would pass on it since I don't like the obverse. The reverse is sweet, though.

Don't worry Victor I wasn't going to offer it to you,I know what you're looking for. grin.gif Yes,the obverse cleaning is a shame but I'm hoping that we'll be able to work something out since it still is a nice piece with plenty of detail...

It is strong in details like the last coin that you shared but it is still a "but" coin. Oh, this coin is awsome "but...". Coins like this should be avoided for one's personal collection. The 1853 arrows/rays dime which I got from you really isn't in this category. It wasn't an exceptional coin but it wasn't a "but..." coin, either. I was/am happy with the purchase. You certainly didn't try to shank me with the price and the deal was very pleasant. Thanks, bud. As mentioned, I will eventually submit it to NCS.

Hey come on now, someone has to keep their hearts and homes open to these poor, abused problem coins. sorry.gif

Hey I'll just try to find another with a nice obverse but damaged reverse, cut it in half and then solder the two nice sides together to make a "perfect" coin. devil.gif

...and slab it in an NTC holder as MS68 so as to hide the "seam line"... devil.gif

Hayden, from what I see of your ANACS AU 58 1854 O Seated Liberty Half on e-bay, it appears to be a nice coin! Photos always kind of suck to give the full picture but this one appears to be very nice!
