2004 Peace Nickel with Missing Finger ...

I have an anonymous friend who sent me this picture on an internet website.

The forefinger on the hand of the individual standing on the right side of the coin is missing. I was asked to give an estimate on its value and I decided to bring the question here. Can any of you help me with this question

I am not at home, so I can't check mine. I believe they are all that way. When shaking hands, only the pinkie, ring and middle would be visible as the index finger is much shorter than the middle finger. I'll check mine when I get home.

the last joint ... considerably away from the rest of the fingers ... as

your hand would appear on the trigger and handle of a gun ... the

person has not yet answered my question as to whether it is a D or

a P mint coin.

Seems that $2500 would be way too high for this peace nickel, too, but it might bring a grand for the right person. If it was "designated" as such in an NGC or a PCGS holder then it may bring the big bucks if just a few others turn up.
