Ripley's: Believe it or not...

4 posts in this topic

Did anybody happen to see the ripley's that is on right now on TBS? Their "spot the not" question was about U.S. coins!!! laugh.gif

If you didn't see it the three things they showed were:

A.) A three-legged buffalo nickel

B.) A $7 Million gold coin

C.) A double headed quarter

This was one of those rare times when I actually new which ones were real before they said the answer!

(Of course, I doubt there is anybody on these forums that doesn't know which one is fake.)

Actually - none of them are fake. OK - I have to edit this - 1 is fake. There are no 2 headed quarters - but there is one with 2 tails wink.gif

The double headed quarter is fake. The only know US double sided coins are a 1965 double reverse quarter and a 1859 double obverse cent. I believe the cent in is the collection of one of our board members.
