bluemoon coins

Hello everybody-

Newbie here on the board, and I see alot of education out there in all areas, so I was helping some of you might be able to help me. I am needing to unload some coins for a renovation project on my home, all top quality, and ebay just seems to take to long, unless you sell in a collection. Also, my last buyer gave me some really tough times and tied up my account for a month, so don't even get me started.

I found an outfit on the web and also sells on ebay called BlueMoon Coins. Feedback looks good, and I am thinking it may be the way to go, but you need to send the coins off to be inspected before buying even though all slabbed. This company does large volume, but I hate sending off coins without money first. Has anybody else had dealings with this operations. Seems like a great outfit, but once burned, next time very careful. If anyone has dealt with them, it would help to ease my mind. Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,

John

Bluemoon coins does not seem to enjoy a very good reputation amongst many people on this forum or the PCGS forum. This would make me more cautious before considering purchasing from them or selling through them.

I personally recommend Michael Dixon for mixed US coins to sell. He's a great guy and will deal with you straight.

I would recommend avoiding Blue Moon Coins.

If I may plug myself, I accept consignments for eBay, have just completed a bunch of auctions for one consignor, and currently have another bunch active right now. You're welcome to contact me for more information, or just some good advice if you wish.

James

If you could tell us a little more about the type/condition of the coins you have, it'd be easier to point you in the right direction.

Go to Collectors Universe US forum and do a search for Blue Moon. You should have no problem deciding whether or not to send your coins to them. frown.gif

I bought a few coins (moderns) from Bluemoon. I did not think that the quality or price was all that great. Plus, I don't like his ads on Ebay. His ads are pretty self serving.
