How do I add a Photo to my Coin Gallery?

7 posts in this topic

I think so. As a member of The Collector's Society. We all have a home page. There is what looks like a link for a coin gallary. I asume we can list certified coins, and add a picture. see example below. If this is correct? and How is it done?

The coin gallery automatically shows any coin pictures that you have uploaded for coins that are registered and in a registry set. SO, assuming you have already registered the coin and put it in a set, there are two ways to edit that coin and upload a picture is as follows:

METHOD 1

--------------

1. Go to the "coins" menu at the top

2. Select "manage coins"

3. Enter a search that's appropriate to the coin you want to see. HINT: If you enter nothing and just click search, you'll see all of your coins.

4. Select the coin you're interested in and choose "edit"

5. You'll get the coin details page, with controls towards the bottom of that page for uploading. They'll be labeled something like this: "Upload new obverse (100k limit)". Browse for your picture, and click confirm and save changes.

METHOD 2

--------------

1. Make sure you're logged in.

2. Go view the details of the set the coin is in (easy to find a link at the bottom of your "My Home" page)

3. Click on the coin's certification number to bring up the coin details

4. Find the "Owner" line which will say "Owner: You (edit coin)". Click "edit coin".

5. Use the browse controls to select and save a picture.

I tried looking up some coins I recently had graded by NGC. Didn't matter what info I put in the search, nothing came up. Do these coins have to be special in some way? What grades are appropriate? also How do I upload to NGC and What is the proper size?
