Brooke: I read the article when it was posted. I think that collectors are beginning to realize how rare these early gold issues really are. I believe that as collectors grow in number and newer collectors become more advanced in their collections, there will be more pricing pressure on many US gold coins. Many series and denominations are low populations, very closely held and difficult to collect in any nice MS condition. This seems to be especially true of Quarter and Half Eagles.
