New Indian Half Eagle

This is going to be my newest addition to my 1910 Mint Set. Nice MS63 Indian Half Eagles are always a challenge.

Thanks, Hayden. I also think that it is pretty clean for a MS63 and I did not have to pay the $2000 grade premium for a MS64.

OT3,

Yes I must agree with the others, that's one nice Indian, and to be in a MS63 holder, good find 893applaud-thumb.gif

It really a great feeling when you find that under graded coin and get the quaility with out the full next tier of pricing. cloud9.gif

Much as I don't like that design (let the bashing begin! tonofbricks.gif) that is a really nice coin! Congrats! thumbsup2.gif

A great many collectors don't like the Pratt design. It is not my favorite but it is unusual, plus it is tough to find nice examples. I was reading my Bowers-"United States Gold Coins, An Illustrated History" book last night. This design has been controversial since the beginning. Barber certainly did not like it.
