ANACS turn around time.

Can anyone give me an idea on the turn around time on ANACS economy service?

I've heard it's slower than PCGS.

I don't send that much stuff into ANACS, but from my limited experience, I'll tell you this.

 

I had a coin sent as economy, and it took something like two months (or more) for the coin to come back. I thought I was going to die of old age waiting for that coin. The next time I needed an ANACS grade, the dealer asked me if I wanted economy, and I said no. For somthing like $8 more (like $20 total) I got a turnaround time of like 2 weeks. To me it's worth $8 not to have to wait forever.

I sent a few in at year end and it took about 7 weeks.

My first economy submission got there 10 days ago, so I'm not holding my breath. The other submissions I've done with them were the 5 day service, which went really well...but these 2 coins I sent in weren't worth the extra money...so I wait....

Let's just say that if you send in a State Quarter today, by the time you get it back it will be considered a classic.
