should these coins be sent to NGC for a crossover or just not worth it?

I know I have mentioned these coins before on here but wanted to show some pictures now that I have some scanned, and I was just wondering if it would be worth it to get these crossed over since I have never heard of this "Capitol Coin Grading service" company 1878.gif1887.gif

I doubt that they will cross. You could send them in for regular grading by NGC, just add $1 to each coin for NGC to remove them from their holders. I don't know who Capitol Coin Grading is but they are a bottom tier service. If you send them in for cross you will just spend money and get your coins back in the Capitol holders. IMO.

what he means but that is when a coin crosses over you can desinate that you only want it to go MS66 or higher... and just from looking at the scans he does not think they will make MS 66

I see said the blind man! You can ask for cross at "any" grade. I thought you were asking if the coins that were pictured would cross at '66 and '66DPL???? It is hard to tell from the scans what the coins might grade. The only problem would be if either had been polished or cleaned in some way.

Usually when someone says "will they cross" they mean at the grade on the holder!

sorry for the wording, I am still new to this hobby and havent learned all the language all you guru's use yet so I was just wording it the best way I knew how. I was thinking crossover meant from from one companies slab to another companies slab and had nothing to do with the grade. why would someone want to crossover a coin and only have the same grade? I mean heck if the coin deserves the grade and U beleive it does and you trust the company that graded that coin to give it a true grade then why send it anywhere else. Just makes no sence to me, so thats why I used the wording "crossover" in meaning from this unknown by me company to one I know and trust to give it a "proper" grade not just slapping a number on the holder.

The reason you would want a coin to cross would be because some holders are worth more than others! There can be big differences in the price of a coin depending on which company's holder the coin is in!

These coins were left to me by my father so they are worth as much to me in a "G" grade as they would be in a MS-66 grade just for that reason. I was just thinking if I have them why not get them graded by a trustable company not for the reason of wanting to sell them but because they will be left to my son just the way my father left them to me and thought why not having them graded by a company that is hopefully going to be around at that time so if he wants he can do some research on it like I cant seem to do from this company. Maybe this clears up all the confusion i have caused

Most of my coins are in NGC holders. If I had to pick just one grading company it would be NGC! You are doing the right thing. IMO...
