a HUGE thanks to NGC/Andy Vickery/Scott Heller! check this Multi-Holder out!!!!!

A few weeks ago I was laying in bed and for some reason thought of putting all of my FE clashes into some sort of set. Then it dawned on me.......I will beg and plead with NGC to put them into a multi-holder.

I posed the question on the ASK NGC board here and Andy Vickery was very quick to get back with me. He too thought the idea was a good one and ran it by Scott Heller.

Next thing you know, I'm packaging up my coins and I sent them via registered mail 6/29 at 4pm. July 1, Andy notified me that they had arrived and were done and would be in the mail on 7/5!

Today they arrived and I must say I am THRILLED with the way that these look in this holder and extremely pleased with the way that NGC went out of their way to make me happy!

Here's a pic!

That is a very neat display item! It does make me wonder how do they get a cent over to the gold $20's????

Excellent! A little creative thinking on one end and a little foresight on the other can reap many benefits. Now, if I can just convince NGC to provide multi-coin holders for 7 or more coins.

Some believe that someone was playing around after hours at the mint.

Thanks for the compliments John, it really was a pleasure to get such a cool set put together for you in the multi-holder. I get to see my fair share(maybe a tad bit more headbang.gif ) of cool, high grade specimens and very unique pieces being at NGC, but believe me, a set of these very tough varieties all together in original circulated grades is a sight also. Kudos to you for building a very tough set that is nicely matched and original and thanks for choosing us as well.

Hi Oldtrader,

PM with the details of what you have, i.e. graded or not, composition of set(I know basically what you want, but want to be sure we can do it) and I will be able to give you an answer on Monday.

Thanks,

Dang -- I couldn't sleep last night thinking about this great multi-holder set.

I was wondering if NGC would multi-holder the below listed 4 coin set of:

1992-D 1c Type I "Close AM" Reverse (also known as reverse of 1993)

1998 1c Type II "Wide AM" Reverse

1999 1c Type II "Wide AM" Reverse

and the

2000 1c Type II "Wide Am" Reverse

What do you think NGC/Andy?

The 1998, 1999 and 2000 I have ready. However, the 1992-D is extremely rare. I see one on eBay that I'm watching. Anybody can chime in with their thoughts or any ideas you would like to see in a NGC multi-holdered set.

I hope Andy and NGC don't mind my opening of a can of worms. grin.gif

Actually, I think it was a fantastic thing to do and really opens tons of opportunities for others to have special sets made up!

Sounds Cool Billy!!!

"... opening of a can of worms."

Ooops! Sorry bout that!

Don't apologize. I've been asking about different possibilities ever since NGC started using them for the States Quarters gift sets. If nothing else, we can always go fishing.
