Online submission forms

6 posts in this topic

Is it just me I am having a time trying to get the online submission to work. I had to download another browzer to be able to do anything!!! It took me over one hour to put 12 coins on the submission form and I have a cable modem! I finally just gave up and quit!

I e-mailed NGC and was told it was my pop up blocker messing me up. That wasn't it! I have never had this much trouble before. Christo_pull_hair.gif

27_laughing.gif I can sympathize with you. I did several 99 coin submissions and it'd drive me crazy and take forever. The speed of the form is awful and it is a clumsy design. It's much better than it was 1-2 years ago, but it is still bad.

Switch to the written forms. You might not get the discount, but I find my free time to be more valuable than the couple dollars I'd save.

I'm not a member, rarely submit coins and then only through a dealer, so I have never used the online submission forms. But reading this made me think of trying to submit auctions on ebay. Going through the online process is ok for one or two coins but you could never do it for a large group. That's where Turbo-Lister comes in.

Maybe NGC should think about writting a simple little application that members could download that would run locally on their computer. The forms could be filled out without going through the internet and having to load down the NGC servers. Then the completed form could be uploaded with a click of a button. It seems like this would prevent some of the aggrivation and waste of time some are experiencing.

Just a thought. 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

We have a new online submission form in the final stages of programming right now. It will be released very soon. It was designed specifically to address the time it takes to enter submissions in the existing form.
